The Strong's Concordance was published first in 1890. It's named after Dr. James Strong, who was a professor of exegetical theology. He lived from 1822 to 1894.

My husband and I have this concordance. You look up a word in the main concordance and it shows the verses in the bible where it can be found along with one or more number keys. You then use these number keys to find the meaning of the word in the Hebrew and Greek dictionary in the back of the book.
