JOHN 3-16

by William Anderson
(Racine, Wisconsin)

John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It was the first Bible verse I learned as a child and had to recite it in front of the church congregation. It has always been on a plaque hung on our bedroom wall.

The love of God
by: Elizabeth

John 3:16 was the first verse I memorized after becoming a Christian.

It expresses God's great love for us. His son paid the penalty for sin so we don't have to. He suffered and died for us. Jesus God's great gift to us.
