Our Prayers To God

Ezekiel 36:25-27 King James Version (KJV)

25. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.


In our prayers to God we should ask Him to cleanse us and give us a new heart.

Our prayers to God should include a thank you even before our prayers are answered. Such was Jesus prayer when he raised Lazarus from the dead.

John 11:41-43 King James Version (KJV)

41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.


Let us exercise confidence in God's promises.

Our Prayers To God Should Include The Ministry Of Reconciliation (i.e. interceding on behalf of others).

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 King James Version (KJV)

18. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
