Matthew 18:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

19. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.


Jesus lets us know the importance of Christians being united in prayer. Two or more need to gather and each participant pray for the same requests in Jesus name.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 King James Version (KJV)

9. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

10. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

11. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12. And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.


The united prayer of 2 or more Christians is better than the prayer of just 1 person. In our war with the devil 2 are better than 1.

My church is now studying Book 4, "40 Days, Prayers and Devotions on Earth's Final Events".  It requires you to have a prayer partner to review the days devotions and to pray with.  My husband is my study and prayer partner.  We are both enjoying the devotions and praying for family and friends.  On week days we do the devotions and prayers as he drives me to work.
